Before you start learning how to hypnotize it is necessary to understand that all hypnosis is in fact nothing but self-hypnosis.

This in turn means that anyone who is willing to be hypnotized can easily be put into the trance.

In fact the hypnotist is nothing but a guide or even a personal trainer that is only there to help the subject focus on their imagination before they actually enter into a hypnotic state. It is also really very amazing just how powerful the human mind is and what it is capable of doing.

Even so, how well a subject responds to hypnosis does depend on the way that the subject responds to the suggestions made by the hypnotist. In addition, the subject’s own beliefs and their trust as well as confidence in the hypnotist also play a role in whether or not the hypnosis will work or not.

Before you start to learn about how to hypnotize it is important that you understand that hypnotizing someone requires dealing with the entire mind which includes both the subconscious as well as conscious mind. The key to successful hypnosis however lies in being able to completely occupy the conscious mind and to make suggestions to the subconscious mind in a more subtle way.

Normally, a person that wishes to quit smoking will find it almost impossible to achieve their goals through using conventional methods. However, if these same people are hypnotized into believing and being instructed to quit smoking the chances of their finally kicking the butt will improve radically.

Next, you have to ask the person to be patient and when telling them this you need to ensure that you use a voice that is soothing and very calming. Ask the person to be patient and to also take in about ten deep breaths of air. At the same time you should ask the person to count out loud each time they take in their breaths. You must also count the breaths and in addition you must tell the person to be patient and forget everything that is making them feel worried.

Next, you have to ask the subject to relax while saying comforting words such as “allow yourself to relax; relax your legs and feet”. You should also ask the subject to relax their hips, waist and chest as well as arms and even shoulders. In fact, you must request the subject to relax their minds and bodies.

You also have to tell them that there are ten steps till they reach the bottom and that as they go down each step that they will feel more relaxed. This exercise must be repeated at most for three times.

Once this stage has been reached you will need to count very, very slowly while in the pause between each number counted you can encourage the subject to relax even more. You will be surprised to learn just how easy it is to hypnotize a subject and in fact you can do so in just a matter of four minutes.

Of course, there are several other methods that are worth exploring as well. However, using the relaxation of the eyes method is most effective and also the most used. Of course, after you have learned how to hypnotize, you can then pick a method that you feel the most comfortable with.
