Sometimes, clients fuel their depression for the dumbest of reasons.

One such example I remember well but first some background: he was a man in his fifties who had spent most of his life on the street; had been abused as a child and suffered from depression his entire life.

His depression also led him to consistently abuse alcohol and many illegal drugs–including Meth and Cocaine. These drugs made it possible for him to medicate his depression and feel important. But now he is very much clean and sober – and happy as well.

Apart from the many health advantages that exercise brings, it can also fight off bouts of anxiety and depression. Exercise distracts a sufferer from negative thoughts and worries. It also helps burn up adrenaline and other stress chemicals, promoting a more relaxed mind. Studies have also proven that exercise improves sleep, and helps boost self-esteem.

There are a variety of methods by which to utilize conversational hypnosis, which is the mental process of convincing persons to do what you want them to through the power of conversation.

For the most part people do not understand hypnosis, they would not know when it’s being used on them. The following will contain information regarding conversational hypnosis methods.

This is an example of a casual method of performing conversational hypnosis: referred to as reciprocation, whenever you anticipate resistance from someone in doing what you want them to do you would make an attempt to do something similar for that person, making sure that they acknowledge what you have done.

This way when you finally make your request you are more expected to get compliance, for example whenever you want a person to assist you with something you are having troubles with attempt to assist the individual with something he may also be having problems with, this way once you eventually ask the individual for assistance he is more expected to say yes.

What Is Your Unconscious Mind?

January 20, 2010 By: Darren Miller Category: Mind Over Matter, Understanding hypnosis, Your Mind

Research has shown that we only use an average of 10% of the full capacity of our mind power.

This means the remaining 90% of your full potential remains untapped. Can you even imagine what you’d be capable of if you could access even a small portion of that remaining potential mind power?

What is power of the mind? Scientists have known for a long time that there are some people who can access different aspects of the unconscious mind to manifest various abilities, strengths and perceptions. These abilities can often include the range of extra-sensory and psychic abilities.

The emergence of these abilities in some people doesn’t make them special or different. Every human being on the planet has the ability to access portions of the unconscious mind to tap into various powers and gifts.

Precious Memories – You Are What You Remember

January 18, 2010 By: Patrick Glancy Category: Hypnosis

You have precious memories that can make you feel good when you think about them as well as bad memories that can make you feel bad. Everyone has these memories and everyone’s memories affect how they live.

There is a definite connection between what our memories have stored and how we generally feel. If there is very strong emotion associated with a memory, a person may tend to feel that emotion in some way, constantly, below the surface.

This can cause psychiatric disorders such as post-traumatic stress and depression. It can also cause more basic disruption in your life like fears, phobias and high stress.

I am going to speak for a few minutes about the dangers of conversational hypnosis if it is used for the wrong reasons.

If used well enough then conversational hypnosis will enable you to control people completely*.

Derren Brown is a famous hypnotist in the UK. He has appeared on many TV shows demonstrating his skills. On one particular show he picked someone of the street, hypnotised them and then made them empty their bank account for him.

This person had no idea what was going on really, they just handed the money over no questions asked. After this had been done, Derren simply erased their memory from the past few minutes.

Deep Hypnosis Works For Millions Everyday; Why Not For You?

January 08, 2010 By: Trevor Johnson Category: Self Improvement

These days, life is often tough and can be full of stress. There are so many stresses that we are exposed to everyday and so many different situations that are just plain too difficult to sort out. This is why many people are turning to deep hypnosis for help.

Deep hypnosis can help many people because it deals with the subconscious mind. You also may be in a hypnotic state several times a day and not even realize that you are in it.

Have there ever times that you’ve been driving somewhere and you are not sure exactly how you got there? That is because you may have been in a hypnotic state for a few miles. This is where our subconscious takes over and gives our consciousness a break. It gives us a chance to mull over things and work them out.

When we enter into deep hypnosis our subconscious takes over. This is a lot like a deep trance that we get into. It is a state of being in which we are not asleep yet we are not awake, either. We are somewhere in between. It gives us a lot of benefits to be in this state of consciousness, though.
